Homework for August 15th, 2016
Welcome to the website for 5-05 and 5-06 for the 2016-2017 school year! Here you will find HW assignments for Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies, in addition to other useful information about field trips and other Grahamwood happenings. Today's HW is as follows:
Reading/Science: Create 3 TDQ's in your Science Journal from the article we read in class today, but DO NOT answer them. Example TDQ's:
1. How did the planets form? pg. 14, par. 3.
The article states on pg 14, paragraph 3, that the planets in our solar system were formed from bits and pieces of a nebula.
2. How much mass does Jupiter have compared to all of the other planets?
On pg. 14, par. 6, the article states that Jupiter has twice the mass and weight of all the other planets combined. 1,400 Earths could fit inside!
Math: Study your multiplication facts! If you are not yet fluent with the tables from 1-12, you are behind, and you will need to work harder than everyone else to catch up.
Parents: Please comment on the website. Your child can show you how if you have problems; we did it together in class today. Please leave your name, your child's name, and any other comments you'd like. Thank you!
